Ours
is the only school in Thane District which provides education from a
child state to youth state i.e. up to 10th standard. In 1996, S.S.C. Board
of Mumbai authorised the school to conduct examinations of technical
subjects for deaf students. Drawing, Typing, Embroidery, Sewing, Crafts
etc. are the subjects taught to the students in addition of regular
curriculum.100% result of 10th std S.S.C.
Board. The school achieved a great goal by such 100% S.S.C. results
since the academic year 2001-2002.The
students from VIIIth to Xth class are made accustomed with screen
printing and computers.'A' Grade awarded during annual audits
by Social Welfare Department. Personality
Development: In spite of deafness to promote confidence in students,
various programs are launched successfully i. e. Training of Road
Safety Patrol, Scout & Guide, Drama, Dance and in addition to this,
students achieve awards on district and state level competitions
organized by various institutions like Rotary Club, Lions Club etc.All National
as well as social festivals are celebrated in the school with
overwhelming enthusiasm like Ganapati, Diwali, Raksha Bandhan and X-Mass.
Tying a sacred thread to trees, bushes and plants on the occasion of
Raksha Bandhan and preparing Pustak-Handi' on Gopal Kala are the unique
examples of their bright ideas.Educational
Tours: Educational tours have been arranged to Delhi, Aurangabad,
Hyderabad etc. and a day's picnic in rainy season is the most favourite
of all the students.For Better
Tomorrow: School regularly arranges guidance programs to parents and
teachers about the future prospects of their children after leaving the
school. Rotary Seva Kendra Trust has started 'Paul Harris Vocational
Centre' which provides vocational training such as Computers, Screen
Printing, Tailoring to make the students self sufficient.
